Recognising Model Company behaviour

Every year, selected VKR Group employees who truly represent Model Company behaviour are honoured with prestigious awards, the Villum Kann Rasmussen Award and the Lars Kann-Rasmussen Safety Award

Villum Kann Rasmussen Award

First awarded in 1996, the Villum Kann Rasmussen Award honours employees who embody the spirit of the VKR Group and truly live up to the Model Company Objective. Recipients are recognised for their values, commitment, creativity, initiative, and support for their colleagues.

Lars Kann-Rasmussen Safety Award

The Lars Kann-Rasmussen Safety Award recognises extraordinary actions within workplace safety, honouring recipients for their inspirational conduct, proactive approach, and courageous decisions that prevent accidents and set new standards for safety. Since 2026, the award also celebrates noteworthy contributions to psychological safety, underlining that a truly safe workplace values both physical protection and mental well-being.

Nominate your colleague

Every VKR Group company has a recommendation committee that administers local award nominations. If you believe that one of your colleagues is a deserving candidate for one of the awards, then contact your recommendation committee and find out how to proceed.  

By nominating, you are helping to ensure that extraordinary behaviour is recognised and celebrated across the VKR Group.

In 2026, we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Villum Kann Rasmussen Award. During the past 30 years, we have honored 395 colleagues, who each in their own way have contributed to realising the Model Company Objective, and who are undoubtedly inspirational and admirable colleagues. Congratulations again to each and every one of them. And congratulations and thank you to all colleagues of the VKR Group, who all contribute to the Model Company Objective and help make the VKR Group a special place to work and be a part of.
