A camp for growth and life skills

Dare to Dream youth camp brings together 50 children of VKR Group employees, aged 16–25, for a week of inspiration, learning and friendship.

Through a mix of team activities, individual reflection and shared conversations, participants work with communication, empathy, emotional intelligence, problem solving and mental well-being. The days have different rhythms — from active group challenges to quieter moments of reflection — giving participants space to connect with others, learn more about themselves and build confidence.

2026 camp

The first camp in 2026 showed how much can happen in one week when young people are given space to open up, support each other and take steps towards their dreams.

Below, participants share what the first Dare to Dream youth camp meant to them.

Applications for the 2027 camp will open in September

You will be asked to write a short text about yourself, including details of your education, hobbies, family relations and why you would like to join the camp.

Yes. The Employee Foundation manages all communication with participants before the camp, and at least onerepresentative is present during the camp to handle all practical matters and participant support.

No. The total cost of the camp is €200, which includes travel (flight or train arranged by yourself), accommodation, meals, and all activities.

If exceptional circumstances such as illness prevent you from attending, the fee will be refunded. Please note that you may be liable to pay tax on the value of the camp (€2,000), depending on national tax rules.

Participants are required to have travel and medical insurance to cover emergencies or medical treatment in Denmark. The insurance is at your own expense.

If you are under the age of 18, please check your national legislation whether or not you need to travel with a letter of consent signed by one of your parents.  This may for example be the case if you are from Poland and Spain.

This is a camp purely intended for personal development.  If you wish to explore other parts of Denmark, eg. Copenhagen, then you need to arrange this for yourself, by extending the length of your stay.

The camp programme is very intensive and designed so that you get the most out of your invested time.  There will of course be breaks and time to relax and enjoy yourself with your new friends – but you need to be prepared for long days with many activities.
