The Employee Foundation of the VKR Group supports employees, their families, and local communities around VKR Group companies. For more than 30 years, the Foundation has provided grants and funding to offer help to employees and their families in difficult times and to strengthen communities where our colleagues live and work.
What we do
Over €35 million granted since 1991
Since 1991, the Employee Foundation has supported VKR Group employees, their immediate family members, and local communities worldwide. With over 11,000 grants totalling more than €35 million, the Foundation has helped thousands of employees through personal distress, illness, and their children through education.
The Employee Foundation also funds local non-profit community projects near VKR locations—over 3,000 to date—enhancing public spaces, nature, education, and sports. Special programs like Live a Dream, Reconnect with Nature, Reconnect with Human Nature and Senior clubs promote well-being, volunteerism, and community engagement.
Each year, outstanding contributions within VKR Group are honoured through the Villum Kann Rasmussen and Lars Kann-Rasmussen Safety awards.
Our organisation
Recommendation Committees
Recommendation Committees are made up of colleagues from across VKR Group companies. They are your local contact point for the Employee Foundation, ready to listen, guide, and support. Committees review applications and help ensure that support reaches those who need it most.
Board of directors
The Board of Directors oversees the Employee Foundation and makes the final decisions on applications and grants. Their role is to ensure that support is given fairly, transparently, and in line with the Foundation’s mission and values. The board members are: Lars Bohlbro, Madalina Petrescu, Anine D. Bråten, Robert Purol, Michel Langrand (Chair), Elin Persson.
Secretariat
The secretariat manages the daily operations of the Employee Foundation. They handle applications, coordinate programmes, and make sure that processes run smoothly so employees and communities receive timely support.
The secretariat members are: Jasna Jelinek, Gitte Hemmingsen, Jane Kristensen, Anna-Helene Kirk, Lotte Kragelund (Executive Director).
Scouts
Scouts are employees who volunteer to act as ambassadors for the Employee Foundation. They help raise awareness, share information about programs, and inspire colleagues to get involved in initiatives that make a difference.
Making a difference
The Employee Foundation’s capital base of DKK 350 million is invested, and the returns are used to provide grants, support community projects, and colleague awards. Every contribution is managed responsibly to make the greatest possible difference.
