Leśna Oaza in Gniezno, Woodland Oasis

Located just 5 kilometers from Gniezno’s center, Leśna Oaza is a community-driven nature park created through the combined efforts of the Gniezno Forest District, the Employee Foundation of the VKR Group, and VELUX factory staff in Gniezno (NB Polska Sp. z o.o.). This collaborative initiative has transformed the area into an inclusive recreational space, fostering connections with nature for visitors of all ages and abilities.

The park features three distinct zones: a creative playground with activities like a mud kitchen for children, a relaxation area equipped with hammocks and sunbeds among the trees, and an outdoor gym for fitness enthusiasts. Every structure, made of wood sourced from the Tatra Mountains, blends harmoniously with the surrounding forest.

The project’s success stems from the dedication of its creators. Employees of the Gniezno Forest District provided their expertise in nature conservation, while VELUX staff contributed through volunteer efforts, crafting benches and trash bins from local wood, landscaping, and planting green- ery. This spirit of collaboration has created a sanctuary where nature and community intersect beautifully.

Leśna Oaza is easily accessible by foot, bike, or public trans- port, making it an ideal escape for those seeking tranquility without leaving the city. Set against the picturesque back- drop of the Gniezno forests, the park accommodates a variety of visitors, from families and children to athletes and seniors.
