Grants

The annual meeting was held with VKR Holding A/S in Hørsholm, Denmark.

The Board was happy to note that after launching the Let’s Work It Out Together strategy in 2023, the Employee Foundation is seeing strong and accelerating momentum across the VKR Group. Increased awareness and engagement have translated into significantly higher activity and broader relevance.

Accounts 2025

The Board approved the annual accounts for 2025. The investment result of +5.0% is considered relatively satisfactory. At the meeting, Investment Manager, Thomas Overvad, presented the outlook for the coming years.

Communication

Annual Report 2025 has been printed and distributed in Danish and English. 7-page digital versions, including posters have been distributed to locations in 10 languages.

Flyers for all employees have been distributed to all locations in 10 languages, increasing the visibility of the Employee Foundation.

Table displays have been distributed to all locations.

Booklet about Engagement will soon be sent to all locations celebrating the culture of volunteering and employee engagement across the VKR Group, highlighting projects, personal stories, and the positive impact created in communities. It reflects how employees bring the foundation’s values to life through hands-on involvement, collaboration with partners, and local initiatives that strengthen wellbeing, nature connection, and social support.

Grants

At the meeting, the Board decided on 418 grants: Approx DKK 6.1 million for employee purposes (215 grants related to unfortunate incidents and 114 educational grants), approx. DKK 6 million for 74 community projects and 3 Reconnect with Nature projects, and finally approx. DKK 1 million for Reconnect with Human Nature (the Movement and proactive health screenings).

Voluntary work – Live a Dream

The Live a Dream program, where employees can apply to be part of a building project benefiting people in need, will also be conducted in 2026. This year's destination will be a project in Slovakia at a social service center for young parents and children living in intergenerational poverty. Expected tasks include fence installation, slope stabilization and window installation. A total of 18 employees will have the opportunity to work for a good cause in October 2026. Application deadline and process will soon be available on the website.

Reconnect with Human Nature

The Movement launched in February and is off to a strong start, with high engagement and positive feedback. Seven inspirational films will be released in sequence with standardised global and local communication packages. Local activation is progressing well with financial support from the Employee Foundation to activate The Movement. Furthermore, VKR Group companies and employees can now apply for equipment and education to support taking practical steps towards better health and wellbeing.

Proactive health screenings, already granted to 35 companies across the VKR Group, continue to deliver strong results. Following the very positive feedback received, all companies are now invited to submit new applications for screenings for employees and their partners. The application deadline is 18 May 2026.

Reconnect with Nature

Ongoing Reconnect with Nature projects are progressing well overall, with most remaining openings expected in autumn 2026. The Board decided to grant support for three new projects.

Election to the board of directors

All board members are jointly appointed by VILLUM FONDEN and VKR Holding and were up for election at the annual meeting. All current board members were re-elected, except for Michel Langrand, who stepped down after completing the maximum 10-year term.

Kristian E. Justesen, VELUX A/S, was elected as a new member of the Board.

Following the election, the Board constituted itself with Kristian E. Justesen as Chair.

A heartfelt thank-you was extended to Michel Langrand for his outstanding dedication and for shaping the Employee Foundation into a strong, trusted support for employees and their partners. His leadership has left a lasting mark, and the baton is now passed with deep appreciation to the new Chair.
