At the meeting on 21 June 2022, the Board of Directors made 256 grants: Approx. DKK 3.7 t. for employee purposes (181 grants for unfortunate events and 38 educational grants), and about DKK 0.8 t for 37 local non-profit projects.
Ukraine
In total, 122 grants (about DKK 1.1 million) have been made to employees affected by the war in Ukraine. The Board of Directors expressed their gratitude to VKR Holding A/S that has informed of an extraordinary donation of DKK 2 million to the Employee Foundation’s Ukraine emergency fund. This will enable the foundation to continue support related to Ukraine as well as unchanged support for ordinary purposes.
Live a dream – volunteering in Romania
The Employee Foundation has finally managed to carry out the Live a dream voluntary building programme in Romania in cooperation with the organisation Habitat for Humanity. 10 employees from the VELUX Group and the DOVISTA Group have spent one week on a building site making homes for poor families in Romania. Representatives from VELUX România visited the participants and witnessed their extraordinary commitment.
